Andrew Eddy, Sales Director, APAC for Hurtigruten, hosted an intimate gathering of trade partners, including LATTE, who braved the elements to view the Hurtigruten Scandinavian Film Festival‘s opening night session in Sydney and the film, Number 24.Before the film, Eddy emphasised Hurtigruten’s 132 year history of connecting Norwegian communities and showcasing the country’s spectacular scenery and waterways. He highlighted Hurtigruten’s commitment to authenticity and adventure, aligning with the festival’s Nordic cinema and theme.
“From its stark natural beauty, to its soulful cultural heart, we’re thrilled to align with the festival that showcases the best of Nordic cinema – thoughtful, bold, always quirky, but always real,” he said.
Eddy also used the platform to introduce the audience to Hurtigruten’s own short film series that capture the “raw emotion, timeless beauty and deep human stories of Norway’s rugged coastline”, and promoted Hurtigruten’s immersive travel experience, which includes the Northern Lights Promise, guaranteeing sightings of the Aurora Borealis aboard one of Hurtigruten’s vessels during the winter months, or the guest gets a free trip to return again for a sighting.“If watching these short films inspires you to see it all for yourself in person, and travel to Norway, then you’ve got to experience it of course, with Hurtigruten,” Eddy quipped. The full program and locations are below:
